Open the window. Let the fresh air in, and breathe again.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a light, gentle whole-body technique that helps the lymphatic system work its magic to remove toxins and waste, support the immune system, and maintain the proper balance of fluid in the body. Our lymphatic drains, much like an unchanged oil filter, can get clogged… which impairs the body’s ability to heal itself. MLD accelerates the flow of lymph up to 10x faster and cleans out our drains. MLD can help increase energy, decrease cravings, and decrease inflammation. It is helpful for decreasing post-surgical pain, swelling and scar formation. It is also proven to be effective for such varied conditions as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS,) Multiple Sclerosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Parkinson’s Disease, and cognitive decline, Alzheimer’s Disease, glaucoma, traumatic brain injury and concussions, migraines, eczema, and autism!
Signs of a sluggish lymphatic system may include: swelling in the limbs, cellulite, frequent colds/infections, stiffness and aches, fatigue, skin problems like acne and dryness, and autoimmune problems.

CranioSacral Therapy & Myofascial Release
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) and Myofascial Release (MFR) are light-touch approach manual therapies that can facilitate dramatic improvements in health. Our fascia is the delicate, yet strong, stretchable connective tissue that envelops our body from head to toe. Fascia surrounds every muscle, bone, organ, nerve and cell in our body! MFR and CST both use light sustained holds and gentle movement to release restrictions in the fascia caused by stress, postural malalignment, inflammation, surgery, scar tissue, and physical and emotional trauma. Often, trapped emotions can also be released with the relaxation of the fascia, facilitating true healing of mind and body. Clients report improved flexibility, decreased pain, decreased stress & anxiety, improved mental clarity, and improved immune system function.

In the words of Mikao Usui, “Reiki is the secret art of inviting happiness.” The word “Reiki” is derived from two Japanese words: “Rei,” meaning Higher Power, and “Ki,” meaning Life Force Energy. It is a holistic Japanese technique that enhances the flow and balance of the body’s energy centers. Reiki is very helpful for stress reduction, relaxation, and easing pain and fatigue. Reiki promotes the body’s ability to heal itself. Reiki can be performed with or without light touch.

Why Not Deep Pressure?
We have approximately 650-800 lymphatic vessels in our body. These lymphatic vessels, both superficial and deep, are about the size of a human hair. The superficial lymph vessels are just 1 mm below the surface of the skin, but they are connected to the deep lymph vessels through a threadlike network. Light pressure causes gentle dilation of the lymphatic vessels to improve flow. Deep pressure or compression, by contrast, can damage the superficial vessels and inhibit proper lymphatic flow, causing more inflammation.
Fascia also does not respond to quick forceful techniques. According to John E Upledger, D.O., the founder of present-day craniosacral therapy, “Too much force will create a defensive body tissue contraction. This will obliterate the inherent balancing motion which is the therapeutic effect (we are) trying to induce.” —Craniosacral Therapy
These light touch modalities are especially effective for treating people with nervous system sensitivity and hypermobility.
